SHE'S AMERICAN - JC & THE TWO-STEPS

Another studio video for the band that was once again shot in front of the green-screen. This one was an absolutely pleasure to make and I'm really proud with how it turned out.

I like the little nods to social media with the phone, and the way Sean's teeth glint in the light every so often. Editing was fairly complicated due to the video being entirely green-screen and I pondered for hours over exactly what shade of pastel would be in the background for each band member.

The biggest nightmare was the reflection of the green-screen on Alex Randles' cymbals ... that one took a while to figure out. Also I had to make computer-generated shadows for each band member otherwise it just looked like they were playing in a dead space which just didn't feel right.

Overall this is one of my absolute favourites. I love the simplicity and the energy of it and I was made up that it all came together. A huge thanks to Jess Bresnen for modelling the phone in the video!
